In 2020 we tracked the flight path of two of our pigeons from France. On this flight we had a west wind (On screen left to right). As you can see the red line crossed the channel early and into the wind, this gave the pigeon an easier flight with a helping wind once she had completed the crossing. The blue line shows the pigeon using the wind over land and then crossing the channel very low into the wind – a hard finish.

The blue line arrived 5 minuted before the red line.
