Barcelona International 2023 16,561 pigeons. 665 Miles / 1071KM.

We sent a team of twenty one to the mythical Barcelona International race. We placed fifteen of them in the National Prizes, eleven of them arriving on day two beating our previous UK records set last year. To get eleven pigeons in the clock on day two surpassed our own expectations, the first arriving at 10:48:09AM . A real highlight for us was getting 5 pigeons arrive in 58 minutes from Barcelona International into the UK, an amazing display from the huge feat that is Barcelona.

From the fifteen pigeons in the National prizes “Jack Jones” features in eleven of the pedigrees including two sons, two daughters, two granddaughters and two grandsons.

1st arrival 8th National: GB 17 D 10278 Latebred 2017 (September Hatched) had a great year for us last year scoring well – 9th National Barcelona 2022 and 13th National Perpignan 2022. The breeding of 17.278 is as follows: Grandfather is “Jack Jones” and the mother was also a great performance pigeon for us 100% Bernd Morsnowski “15.911” 6 National prizes, 3x Perpignan, 2x Barcelona and 1x Agen.

 

2nd arrival 9th National: GB 20 C 46759 his first time from Barcelona, last year he was 21st National Agen and 34th Perpignan. His sire is “Jack Jones” and his mother is a daughter of Oswald Schneiders 14.175 she was three times in the prizes from Barcelona in successive years 2017,2018 and 2019 flying 1236KM/767Miles.

 

The 2016 hen came in as our third arrival,13th National to complete her 5th race from Barcelona, safe to say she knows her way through the Pyrenees. Her mothers side is inbred to “Jack Jones” and her fathers side is inbred to Robert Ben’s “Super Ben”.

 

 

Our next five arrivals came within an hour of each other including a “Jack Jones” Daughter,  “Jubilee Barcelona” the 2022 UK National Winner and a direct Rezenthel Freres hen.
